A visit to Alkmaar has to include a visit to the Waag, or Weigh House. The museum is on the second and third floor or this historic building. On display are various utensils for making cheese in this part or the Netherlands, as well as historic costumes and descriptions or making this famous delicacy. The cheese season runs from April through September. |
